When television was worth watching!❤...
Truly yes inspiring and always something good to learn.
What a magnificent piece of writing. The old man's speech at the end was beautiful. And the kid said it too : "You cant kill them . . .because theyre wild things." Something to always remember.
well we're an "introduced species" to America , why do we belong? Or do we?

"We're the custodians of this land and everything that's on it. If we don't take care of it, nobody will!'
Michael Landon rides a horse again .
Been a while.. Since Bonanza.. 14years in Bonanza..loved that show...
He rode a horse in season 1 of this and he rode a horse in little house on the prairie.
He rode horses all the time in Little house..
I don't get tired of watching these videos - corrupt, corporate TV will never ever show TV series like this anymore. Watching these series helps me restore faith in humanity specially during these fake times.
The "times " are what WE ALL make of them together. Leave the condemnation to a higher power. And watch PBS.
Well said.
Execs didn't want to do this in the 80's, either!! Times were bad back then, too!!
Richard Farnsworth was a wonderful actor! A good cast as usual.
Never has there been in tv history a show that makes LOVE the key component in every story....Michael Landon knew how to play the heartstrings!!! How fortunate...
Kai Klarr. absolutely, love is the answer in every problem.
to the uploader of this series , God bless you .. This is truly a legend in Godly virtues , honour ,respect love , compassion .. this episode echoes modern day disregard for wild life stubborn & self seeking nature at all costs regardless .. Michael Landon & Victor French .. you guys were a God sent .. an irreplaceable Legend ...May our Good Lord rest your dear souls ... You are Sorely Missed ....
I dunno about that Michael Landan fellow. He did alot of drugs during little house on the prairie and drank tons of vodka/liquor during his end of time.
Amen 🙏🏽
@@michaelargenta3856 true, by all accounts the real life Michael Landon was very different to the characters he played, and far from perfect. But then again nobody is that perfect and there isn’t a human being on this planet who would live up to those tv characters. I’m not religious but let he/she without sin cast the first stone.
We don’t know what his childhood was like or what he’s been through to cause him to behave like that. I’m not condoning his behaviour but as a child of an alcoholic I know that it’s an illness and there are complex layers beneath it.
At least Michael Landon left a legacy that is still touching and inspiring people years after his death. Not many of us have such a big impact on the world.
@@michaelargenta3856 Those things have nothing to do with Landans moral character as a man.
@@michaelargenta3856 He was ILL, you creepy LIAR.
When grandpa said " im tired. I aint got nothing to give to anybody anymore" i felt that in my bones. Ive gave so much of myself to others for so long theres not much left for even me. But when i got too old and in bad physical shape and stopped giving they stopped coming around and seldom even call.
I'm soo so sorry, please know I feel your pain/sorrow? I tell myself my.next life will be better, that each time around we are perhaps gettimg closer yo what ever is at the end? I feel your pain sooo much and sooo strong. Which I lived closer and we could go out for coffee or drinks and just laugh!
Perhaps you should reach out TO THEM. And just let them know you were thinking of them.

Dear Cathy. Write letters to them and tell them you love them. They need to learn how to love you back. You can teach them.
Don Collier as Jake, the foreman. Pretty much reprised his role of Sam Butler on "The High Chapparal" Met him a couple times, I used to work with his son. Hell of a nice guy. He will be 92 in a little over a month and is still acting!!
Best episode of the series so far. Oh, the majesty of that white horse!
"We are the custodians of this land, and if we don't take care of it nobody will". Custodians, NOT USERS to take whatever we please with no regard for the future. I really wish people would think about that instead of "Got to have it NOW!". Once it's gone, there's no bringing it back.
I think you’re overreacting….
There's something special about a horse, that I cant put into words , there a blessing in a special way
This series was very much ahead of its time. When we people are gonna wake up and stop ruining our land and whatever accompanies it?
Horses are very beautiful proud creatures we ought to learn something from them than letting our ego drive us.
A great actor that I always enjoyed what he acted in. It's great to see him again.
Did you ever see this one? In 1999, only released in "art" movie theaters but we caught it and loved it!
I think it's on Prime, but maybe other places, even youtube. A really great "road trip "...ON A TRACTOR!

Little Joe sure looked at home on that horse. 😍
i love this video! rest in peace michael land and dan blocker and lorne greene and pernell roberts!
This is Highway to Heaven. I think you have it confused with Bonanza. Maybe because theres horses and a ranch on this episode.
Beautiful white horse .,,, cool story,
Such a good series, and great episode.
Right at the end, when the foreman asked the woman, "Do you go along with this, Mrs. Harwood?", Grandpa should have fired him right there and then. The owner had just given an order and Mrs. Harwood was not the owner. The foreman showed that his loyalty was misplaced.
Splendid !
Heavy episode… I feel empathy with the grandfather, the mother and the boy. Beautiful 🐴 🐴 🐴 horses. The boy and the grandfather are right. I won’t reveal why. Just look for yourself 😀👌 You will love this episode with a great ending.💕❤️
Beautiful horses🐎 👍👌👌👌😘🥰😍❤❤❤❤❤❤
Remember when tv shows were put together very well..and this is one of the best if not THE best...
Sad ending for a wonderful actor Richard Farnsworth 😢💔 he was wonderful in Anne of Green Gables
That was a great show !
Bravo bravo excellent episode it's one of those episodes I wish could just keep going on and on. My hats off to Richard Farnsworth he in real life was a true cowboy rodeo cowboy who did many years of stunt work before he went into acting stunt work with horses. Fitting episode for him and Michael Landon who dealt a lot with horses in Bonanza and Little House on the prairie.
Love it
Beautiful ending thank God
That white horse is a beautiful animal
Camarillo
I had the idea it might have been an angel itself, like the dog in an earlier episode.
Nice to see Li'l Joe ride again !
Beautiful.
A song comes to mind seeing grandpaw's come back. Respect yourself. If you don't nobody's gonna give a good cahoot.
Great to watch.
Richard Farnsworth who played Grandpa Sanders died on October 6, 2000. After a long illness with metastatic prostate cancer, Farnsworth committed suicide by shooting himself at his ranch. RIP.
@@Jimihendrix1834 Death is a new beginning. Cancer is more merciful than dying of old age. Laying in your own waste, unable to feed yourself or use the toilet. dependant on others for every move you make, so ulcers grow on your body. You waste away and others hate you for being a burden to them. They treat you like a sack of flour, tossing you around to cloth you and feeding you while you sleep. As well as meeting Prime Ministers etc, speaking to many different military personnel etc etc. She never has a day off her duties

With Michael Landon writing some of Bonanza and this show I`m surprised this is only the 2 episode with horses in it.The hired hand Jake at @ is Don Collier. He played on Bonanza 5 times. I wonder when he picked the White horse if he remembered the white Connemara Pony that played on episode Bonanza S2 E27 The Gift
“I dont drink.”
Most simultaneously hilarious & yet saddest line in the series. He actually drank himself to death….
I really miss this show.victor and michael are both gone now so they cant be a remake
even if they were alive, they would be in their eighties today. Remember, it's 30 years ago
It would never be the same and they would Ruin it anyway
There. Doing a remake right now but with a man and a woman
Great episode
Richard Farnsworth must have been the best scene partner ever.

The Grandfather left because he was not needed. His daughter would not let him do anything. When people are not needed we give up on life. That's the way it is with me because I am not needed. All my life i have been told that i was useless that i was worthless. I finally believe that this is true.
Starr Meadows Starr: I have often read your comments on Highway to Heaven and you sound like a wonderful person. I hope you take good care of yourself and always keep hope that things will get better. Michael Landon gave so much hope and encouragement to so many people and would be so happy to know he made a difference in your life. Bless him and bless you.
Beauty and worth are in the eyes of the beholder and not in the eyes of those of whom do not wish to see. Sounds to me like a lot of people in your life are blind to your beauty and worth. Don't be one of them.
The Woman is very believable as a rancher.
Love this show😄
I have let to many lean on me. I am tired. Now that i need someone to lean on there is NO one.

God has a very warm shoulder.
"Man has two great spiritual needs. One is for forgiveness. The other is for goodness."
Billy Graham
Man's chief need is for the Truth, but he/she won't tolerate it. YHWH, Messiah and the scripture repeatedly called/call for Man's repentance, that is, abandoning every false way to live according to Creator YHWH's Truth, His truthful designs for Man/Woman, but that is not commonly preached. People don't want to abandon their false ways, and most won't. Forgiveness can't occur when iniquity and lies are adhered to, continually lived. They obey Lies and Deception, corruption, rather than Truth. They've rejected Him. He doesn't wink at rebellion.
Love Billy Graham messages, ♥️🕯♥️I'am Rapture Ready, Are you?♥️🕯♥️
Lord Jesus I confess I'am a sinner, I believe you die on the cross to save my soul, Was buried, and rose again on the third day, I repent of my sins, Please forgive me for my sins, I accept you as my Lord and Savior, I hear your footsteps coming I hear you knocking on my Heart's Door, Please come in and be Lord of my Life, In the name of Jesus, Amen.

God created this beautiful horses. Yes and amen if we do not take care. Of this land who will
The Spanish brought them here, and without the Portuguese Spain did not even know how to sail to the West. Two countries are basically what pushed us 200 years into the future while everyone else was waiting. Everything after is irrelevant bad or good as the decision to cross the South and North Atlantic and actually map everything out lead to a change in this world that even after 600 years we are still dealing with it. The only thing that has not changed is for 400 years the same families are still running this pathetic world we built.

Living in Montana there are many ranch women here. They are tough. Was helping a older ranch women in her 60s that was changing a tire on her trailer on the side of the road. Her husband died and she married a much younger man to help on her ranch. But when I met her he was gone she divorced him. But since he had no place to live. The court told her he could stay in a cabin on her property. She was not going to accept that. So when he left the cabin to go to town. She took 5 gallons of gas and burned the cabin down. Because although he was living in it. It still was her property. She told me the gas went off sending her flying back. But it also burned up the guys pick up. Because he had gone to town with a friend in his truck. He took her to court. And she had to pay 10,000 dollars for destroying his pickup. She said to me it was well worth it. I told my friend in town of the lady. He said he read when it happened in the news paper. That the lady was nuts. I personally met the lady. I did not think she was nuts. Just a tough lady who was not going to take any crap from anyone. If you were ever in a situation and needed a backup. With a ranch women you would get it.
As a child I was told daydreaming was bad that i should not dream.
I'm sorry. The people who told you that must have been very damaged.
I'm all for saving the wild horses, but why should that cost some of the cattle their lives?!! ALL life is precious and we should be valuing ALL LIFE, not trade one for another!! :'(
Billie want`s to do everything on her own instead of talking & listen to her family
dianne hart she was selfish and inconsiderate, and a negative attitude about what everyone else thought. But she believed that she was right but in reality she 110 % WRONG
Mark complains too much. Funny how I didn't notice that before. Jonathan has a lot of patience.
I don't really get it either. Mark was so patient with that little blind boy just a couple of episodes earlier, working with horses in All the Colors of the Heart. The hazards of different writers on each one, I guess.
He is an angel to show patience
He belly aches like an old broad.

I was thinking watching this that Richard Farnsworth must have been that age his whole life. While not literally true, it could apply to his acting career, since he only started serious acting in his fifties, after thirty-plus years working behind the scenes as a stuntman.
Wildlife does not need humans to manage them. God put it in them to live as he intended for them to live. He takes care of them and anyone who tortures or abuses them surely will go to hell. Psalms 50.
here in Montana they are rounding them up and sending Them to the slaughter house to sell to the highest bidder (China being one where horse meat is a delicacy) Wyoming is losing their wild horses to the Greedy Administration too! They want the Free Range lands for DEVELOPERS!!!!
Sad, but true. We must consider the source of all things we purchase (i.e. land) in order to prevent the furthering of this Earth's destruction. This starts with public awareness...kinda like the recent movement to stop the flow of "blood" diamonds in order to stop the human slavery and death surrounding their marketing.
UGH... how ugly is that?!
Horses hold such a candle in my heart...

Wild horses don't make as much damage to the land as cattle, sheep, & wildlife. There are more wild horses being kept by the BLM in pens than out in the wild. It would be cheaper to provide birth control for the horses than to keep them penned up to have to feed & doctor them.
Starr Meadows are there any of these videos you don’t comment on?
How we need more movies like this especially the children and youth, all that being made now is sexual, violent, perverted!
